Paddle

Paddle from West Bay Park north into Budd Inlet.  This ~3.5 mile course passes West Bay Marina, turns east directly towards Priest Point Park and then south to Swantown Boatworks. This is and open-water course, so be prepared and self-sufficient.  We’ll have boats on the water to assist.

Turns: Turn 1 is marked by Buoy # 4 (see picture below). Turn 2 is an inflatable race marker that will be placed by Olympia Area Rowing prior to the race.  Turn 2 will be further south this year to accommodate the new takeout location at the Boatworks.  Paddlers will stay outside of (east) the channel markers as they pass the marina docks at Swantown.  New Finish at Swantown Boatworks.

Take out at Swantown. (Est. Time 50 min.)
