Thursday, March 23rd – Planting Party in Hundred Acre Wood – Fairhaven Park

We’re looking for helping hands to join us in our stewardship area. Please RSVP and sign up below. 

Meet: Upper Shelter, Fairhaven Park 107 Chuckanut Dr. N. 

When: 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm (then adjourn to Stone’s Throw Brewery) 

Doing: We’ll be planting native plants and transplanting local sword fern in our Outdoor Classroom space and spreading mulch to protect them in their new home. 

Bring: Gloves, knee pads, water bottle, appropriate shoes and clothing, snack if needed. 

Provided: Tools, water, and gloves if you don’t have your own.

  • We will need signed waivers for anyone under 18. If the legal guardian will not be present to sign at the work party, please let us know and we will send you the form ahead of time.

Todd Elsworth

Todd Elsworth is one of the many “Mossy-haired lunatics roaming the dripping peninsulas”, described in “I’m Here for the Weather” by Tom Robbins. As executive director, he works to fulfill our mission to teach the health benefits of nature, promote outdoor recreation, and steward the places where we play.
