Family Care Network, Humana and Recreation Northwest’s Parkscriptions program Invites Older Adults to Free “Walk with a Doc” at Zuanich Point Park in Bellingham, Oct. 11
Participants can join a Parkscriptions walk, participate in fitness activities and more.
WHAT: Family Care Network and Humana, a leading health and well-being company, are teaming up to host a free “Walk with a Doc,” a Parkscriptions event, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 11 at Zuanich Point Park in Bellingham, Wash.
Older adults are invited to attend the event, which will include two planned walks with a Family Care Network physician, fitness demonstrations with SilverSneakers, health resources, refreshments and giveaways. In addition, Humana licensed insurance representatives will be on hand to answer questions.
Parkscriptions, a program by Recreation Northwest, partners with doctors and other health care providers to prescribe time outdoors. Parkscriptions connects patients with positive outdoor experiences for healthier lifestyles and improved mental and physical health.
