Has freeze dried food lost its luster in your Backcountry Backpacking and Paddling multi day adventures? What if scones, cakes and hash brown bakes were on the menu in your favorite remote adventures? This Recreation Northwest course will show alternatives to eating crunchy, stomach bloating, hard to digest food from a foil bag. Baking food in the backcountry is easier than you imagine with your light weight stove, pots and pans.
Backcountry Baking takes place at Woodstock Farm. Parking is very limited at the farm, we offer a free round trip shuttle service departing from our Recreation Northwest office downtown Bellingham 30 minutes prior to this course. Riding a bike to Woodstock Farm is an excellent option to the shuttle.
