Bring your Dutch Oven and let’s make fresh bread. Controlling temperature in the Dutch Oven is a fundamental skill. Baking bread teaches the foundation of temperature control. In this Recreation Northwest course let us show you the finesse needed to make a large loaf of hollow sounding full flavor rustic peasant bread. We’ll supply everything needed except your 4 to 6 quart outdoor Dutch Oven, large mixing bowl and mixing spoon. You’ll experience baking the dough we provide as well as making your own dough ball to take home and bake. When we sample bread we’ll compliment it with Dutch Oven roasted elephant garlic, butter, olive oil, balsamic vinegar and parmesan cheese.
This course takes place at Woodstock Farm. Parking is very limited at the farm, we offer a round trip free shuttle service departing from our Recreation Northwest office downtown Bellingham 30 minutes prior to this course.
