Description
As you meander along the trails, what are all of the objects dangling from the trees or floating along the trail? Come explore the land of moss and lichens here in the Pacific Northwest. Where there are over 1,000 different species of lichens!
These two species are an integral component to contributing to a healthy ecosystem here in Washington. We will explore what makes up a lichen, the life cycle of moss and lichen, and their role in a diverse ecosystem.
This experience is part of National Park Week from April 16th-April 24th where all of our experiences will be free!
We as an organization are adhering to the latest scientific data and safety measures regarding Covid-19 in alignment with the local health department. With all this in mind, we acknowledge the benefits of getting you outside in nature with respect to mental health.
