Parkscriptions Pilot Program

Our program continues our community collaborations with health care providers, organizations, and public land managers. More on this to come.

Check out our latest publication that gives a broad summary and outlines our Reflections and Next Steps on an annual basis: Parkscriptions Program Review 2016-2021.

DIVERSITY, EQUITY & INCLUSION:
VALUES WE LIVE BY, GOALS TO ACHIEVE AND STRATEGIES TO GET US THERE

Recreation Northwest requested and received technical assistance from the National Park Service Rivers, Trails and Conservation Assistance program. Our workgroup produced this document as a result to help guide us and our community. PARKSCRIPTIONS Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (PDF)

Parkscriptions has two core values, listed below, each with a goal with associated strategies that express and embody those values.

#1 Increase community health through equitable access to the outdoors.

#2 Providing leadership: We value a “shared-commitment” approach to meet community needs.

Parkscriptions Value Statements: Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. Definition: Values and principles statements reflect a group’s core beliefs, the deep convictions and priorities that shape its culture and spirit, and inspire and guide its choices in the way it operates to achieve its mission and vision. It helps define the operational culture for employees and volunteers, as well as for donors.
