Recreation Northwest Trails Coalition is dedicated to working on our regional trail networks with our jurisdictional partners. We will be focused on the Bay to Baker Trail and the Salish Coast Trail.

Summarizing the findings in the two reports published by the WA State Recreation and Conservation Office and the Benefits of Recreational Trails, “Multi-modal trail projects trails provide extensive health, economic, and environmental benefits by promoting active lifestyles, boosting local economies through tourism, connecting communities, and preserving natural spaces. They offer safe, non-motorized transportation options, reducing pollution while increasing property values. These trails also enhance community identity, offer opportunities for social interaction, and foster environmental stewardship.”

We were also the original proponents of the Whatcom Water Trail project with the Port of Bellingham and Visit Bellingham.
