2019 Recreation Northwest EXPO Preview

January 27, 2019 by Todd Elsworth Leave a Comment

For the sixth year in a row, Recreation Northwest will present a free EXPO full of fun for the whole family. Held at the Bellingham Cruise Terminal 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, February 23, the EXPO will bring together northwest Apparel and Gear Manufacturers, Retailers, Outfitters, Outdoor Media, Activity Clubs, Stewardship Organizations and representatives from your favorite local recreation events and races. With more than 70 exhibitors expected, the EXPO is your opportunity to connect with leaders in the outdoor recreation community and explore new adventures.

Offering the public a free event meets Recreation Northwest’s mission of bringing people together to enjoy, preserve and improve the places where we play. We have a full day of fun and great people to connect with at the EXPO this year. Everybody will leave with a door prize, expanded outdoor knowledge and some new friends.

Many of our exhibitors have donated some excellent door prizes. For example, Mount Baker Bicycle Club Chuckanut Classic and Bellingham Bay Marathon are offering one free entry to their races. One lucky winner will receive a $500 tuition credit for any American Alpine Institute course in Washington State. Or you could win a new Kobah Ice Axe from SMC Gear, a sports dress from Nuu-Muu or the fender of your choice from Ground Keeper Fenders to name just a few. You’ll also have opportunities to take home free swag and participate in raffles at several exhibitor booths so be sure to bring cash for your raffle tickets.

Interested in being an exhibitor? Recreation businesses, agencies and nonprofits are welcome to register, but act soon before it sells out.

Check out the list of 2018 EXPO Exhibitors for a better idea of what to expect.

You won’t go hungry or thirsty either. StrEAT Food will be staying open during the EXPO so you can enjoy their delicious fare while you’re there. Plus, Boundary Bay Brewery will also be on site as well (please bring cash for your purchase).
