March means all shades of green are about to start sprouting up all around us in nature. March also means that St. Patrick’s Day Parade, Runnin’ O’ The Green, and other opportunities to get your lucky green on are here and abound. Which brings us to Tammy Bennett. As 2013 Parade Grand Marshal, Tammy continues to be one of the best cheerleaders in town.

If you are familiar with how much the Founder & Queen of the “Department of Fun”, Tammy Bennett, loves the parade and running around dressed up in fun outfits year round, this is a special year for the DoF on the weekend of March 16-17th. Tammy is retiring from the YMCA after so many years of dedicated service to the organization and our community. She’ll still be in town- launching a new business as a Zibrio balance specialist/ACSM Exercise Physiologist, BTW.
The Department of Fun is hosting a full weekend of activities to celebrate Tammy and for you to enjoy. Activities include cheering, run/walking, Novelty Show & Costume Party, dance & dunk, parade, post-parade party at Boundary over the course of two days!

The DOF Extravaganza Novelty Show & Auction won’t be an ordinary auction with a big focus on raising a lot of money: It will be a show with the added benefit of supporting the TB It Never Hurts to Ask Scholarship Fund! Saturday, March 16th 2:00-5:00pm.
PLEASE share any photos you may have and Tammy Bennett would LOVE to hear your stories either via email or at the DOF EXTRAVAGANZA NOVELTY SHOW PARTY & AUCTION!! @DOFEXTRAVAGANZA
