Eat to Compete! – A Nutrition Series for Bellingham Traverse Racers

The PeaceHealth Bellingham Traverse is excited to announce Eat to Compete!, a 3-part educational series on sports nutrition led by local dieticians Lisa Dixon, RD, MBA and Sonja Max, MS, RD. Lisa and Sonja are teaming up to help you get ready for the Traverse and optimize your performance on race day. Classes will cover:

Part I: Sports Nutrition 101. Find your power curve with the right fats, carbs, and protein. Fight pain and inflammation with nutrient-rich foods. Tuesday, September 3, 6:45-8:15pm

Part II: Debunking sports nutrition myths. What really works? The truth about supplements, sports drinks, gels and hydration for optimal performance. Monday, September 9, 6:45-8:15pm

Part III: Racing with REAL foods. Tips and recipes for using real foods during training, racing and recovery, including tips for rest and sleep. Monday, September 16, 6:45-8:15pm

All workshops to take place at the Bellingham Athletic Club, Cordata location.

Registration is $15 per workshop, $40 for the entire series for Bellingham Traverse racers OR $12 per workshop, $33 for the series for BAC members.
