Thanks to Kulshan Brewing for hosting the kickoff of our first Washington Outdoor Business Alliance Gathering of 2020. Check out our Events/Alliance Gathering page for the next dates. We were able to show off a preview of the trailer for a documentary in production, by Port Side Productions, to tell the story of the community collaboration for the access and preservation of Galbraith Mountain, in Bellingham’s backyard.
We took over the brewhouse at the Roosevelt location.
Board members, volunteers, Expo exhibitors, Alliance Members all gathered together for beers and cheers.
Cole, with Port Side Productions, gave an overview of their project, before we got a sneak peek at the trailer. The trailer was short and sweet, so we even watched it twice!
Afterwards, we got on to business! At our Alliance Gatherings, we have time to “CHIME IN” and tell others who work in the outdoor recreation industry what’s new and exciting in their world. It’s always great to hear about the new relationships and collaborative business ideas that come out of these occasions.
If you work in the outdoor recreation industry, consider becoming a member and joining others in our Washington Outdoor Business Alliance. Check out our growing list of Alliance Members. See you at our next

Todd Elsworth is one of the many “Mossy-haired lunatics roaming the dripping peninsulas”, described in “I’m Here for the Weather” by Tom Robbins. As executive director, he works to fulfill our mission to teach the health benefits of nature, promote outdoor recreation, and steward the places where we play.
