Masks UP Washingtonians – Recreate Responsibly this Summer

June 26, 2020 by Todd Elsworth Leave a Comment

#RecreateResponsibly this summer so that our businesses can revive and thrive and our parks can stay open!

“Starting Friday, every Washingtonian must wear a facial covering when in a public space, as mandated by the public health order signed by Wiesman. This includes both indoor and outdoor public spaces.” Governor Inslee

For outdoor recreation, face coverings can be removed if a “a distance of six feet is maintained from people who are not members of their household.”

Our executive director Todd is fashioning a Daily Mask out front of our new HQ on North Forest!

We wear masks in our offices as we work to pivot our programs, planning to evolve through the phases of reopening outdoor recreation businesses with the shared mission of getting people outside. Here’s Elizabeth, Parkscriptions Program Director at her welcoming desk.

Our Office Manager, Zuzana, is also welcomed back to work this week. With our new offices, we have more space to be able to spread out and get some work done.

If you haven’t added style to your COVID wardrobe try the Daily Mask made by our friends at eqpd in Twisp.

#RecreateResponsibly with these tips: Know Before You Go, Plan Ahead, Stay Close to Home, Practice Physical Distancing, Play it Safe, Leave No Trace

As executive director, he works to fulfill our mission to teach the health benefits of nature, promote outdoor recreation, and steward the places where we play.
