Happy New Year 2026
We have sprinkled you with bits and pieces of us becoming the Voice for Trails- filling a gap that has existed for too long. Coming off of our recent success at our Whatcom Regional Trails Summit we are transitioning to focusing primarily and solely on being a Voice for Trails to fill the gap of not having a regional trail advocacy group for Whatcom County.
We are working to formalize our partnerships with local jurisdictions and identify priorities for projects where our partners need help. See the 2025 Summit Agenda and 2025 Summit Attendees and Watch the BTV Video for a sense of the goals we have with our partners. The outcome of the Summit was for us to move forward with adoption of the Coast Millennium Trail.
We have partnered with Bellingham Whatcom County Tourism to nominate the Coast Millennium Trail to the Washington State Scenic Bikeways program!

Since 2013, we have been identifying and filling gaps in outdoor recreation needs in our local and regional communities. Our History is a reflection of the breath and depth of our event portfolio, program development, and advocacy work.
In 2026, the next steps for our organization will be to evolve to become the collective eyes & ears, heart, mind and voice for our regional trails. We are working to redefine our Mission & Vision and update our Strategic Plan to guide us into the future. We are actively recruiting new board and advisory committee members.
