We are pleased to share this recent Parkscriptions resource for forest bathing with you. It comes from our friends at NPR’s Life Kit podcast. Marielle Segarra, host.
Parkscriptions is a program developed by Recreation Northwest that has evolved over the years. We currently are providing programming with the Options High School AVID program. We offer custom experiences for corporations, wellness programs, groups, and individuals to learn the health benefits of nature and provide an opportunity for team building in a natural setting. We are constantly evolving and expanding to get more people outside to “Get Your Dose of Nature.”
Previously our Pilot Program was a community health campaign working with healthcare providers and evolved into Community Programming.

As Director of Programs, Elizabeth Nelson brings her B.S. in Public Health, her extensive work with trauma survivors of domestic and sexual abuse, and her own experiences of the positive connection and health benefits of time spent in nature into the Parkscriptions program at Recreation Northwest. She is a certified Wilderness First Responder. She has a broad range of experience running her own business and working in nonprofit and government organizations.
