We’d like to give a shout out to Eric Brown, Whatcom Mountain Bike Coalition, for his leadership and rallying of the community to get out and support WMBC’s trails efforts. EB has been crushing it and it shows in their accomplishments. Thank you to the individuals and businesses that have contributed their time, money and expertise to help WMBC take the next step.

Subject: Sunday Trailday – Atomic Dog
Hi everyone,
Blanchard National Trail day:
The National Trail Day on Blanchard last Sunday was a great success. We worked on a really nice reroute of the Lily to Lizard Lake connector. We completed about ½ of the project with members of the WMBC and some good folks from the GBRC (Greater Bellingham Running Club) who pitched in as well. Really good to get various users together on these days! The bbq afterwards was delish and the total for the day was 100+ folks giving back to Blanchard from the equestrian, paragliding, trail running and mt. bike communities. Many thanks to Thad Quinn for organizing, routing the new section and herding cats. The plan is to complete this sometime in the next month or two. We’ll let you know when that is taking place.
This Sunday – Atomic Dog:
Brown Dog Bike is sponsoring a trail day on Atomic Dog. The plan is to get it dialed/buffed before the warm weather really hits and it gets too dry for dirt projects. Don’t worry, the trail will still retain it’s rugged feel that folks love about it. We’ll meet at the Padden lot by the softball fields at8:45 AM and head up from there. If you want to ride up or join us later, the tools will be near the top of the trail and we’ll work top down.
Cheers,
EB
