December 13, 2019 by Todd Elsworth Leave a Comment

Recreation Northwest Wins!

“The faculty of Western Washington University’s Recreation Management Leadership major want to express our deep appreciation and admiration for all the amazing work you do in the community and the support that you have provided to us over the years.  Therefore, you were elected to receive our Community Partner Award.” – Dr. Jasmine Goodnow.

The award was presented to Executive Director, Todd Elsworth, at the Recreation Management and Leadership Senior Reception on December 12th, 2019 at Four Points in Bellingham by Dr. Goodnow- see photo below.

Recreation Northwest works closely with the faculty and students at Western to help create community connections. We have hosted interns, speak to classes and engage students as volunteers at our annual EXPO. As we work together, we are building up the next wave of the workforce for the outdoor industry and members of our new Washington Outdoor Business Alliance.

We are proud to display this award in our Recreation Northwest office!

As executive director, he works to fulfill our mission to teach the health benefits of nature, promote outdoor recreation, and steward the places where we play.
