July 17th – Fairhaven Park Work Party

June 28, 2021 by Todd Elsworth

Join us on Saturday, July 17th for our next work party. We will work from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm.

In order to keep up our Fairhaven Park Native Plant Gardens we host Fairhaven Park Work Parties as volunteer opportunities for you to invest in the health of the park.

Your tasks will be to dig out the roots of sprouting blackberries and covering the area with mulch to prevent more growth around our younger plants installed by Wild Whatcom Explorers earlier this year (photo below)

Afterwards, we’ll convene at Stones Throw Brewery to wind up the afternoon and celebrate our accomplishments.

Please sign up ASAP as an RSVP so we know how many tools to bring. Thank you.

  • We will need signed waivers for anyone under 18. If the legal guardian will not be present to sign at the work party, please let us know and we will send you the form ahead of time.
  • Help prevent spam by entering the sum in the field above.
