Saturday, May 21st – Fairhaven Park Volunteer Work Party

Dear Volunteers, 

We are hosting a work party with the staff from Peak Sustainability Group. They reached out to us asking if they could help with our mitigation maintenance and native plant care in our adopted area in Fairhaven Park.

Next, we are inviting YOU to join Us for a day of stewardship work and fun!

Date: Saturday, May 21st 
Times: 9:00 am – 1:00 pm
Meet: Fairhaven Park Upper Shelter.  107 Chuckanut Dr N, Bellingham, WA 98225
Bring: Great Attitude, Work Gloves, Snacks, Water Bottle

We’ll provide: Tour of project, tools, and dad jokes! 

Tasks: Ongoing invasive species removal in Recreation Northwest’s Stewardship Area. See Holly Removal Zone below. 

After Party: We traditionally go to Stones Throw Brewery to celebrate with a pint afterwards.

Todd Elsworth

Todd Elsworth is one of the many “Mossy-haired lunatics roaming the dripping peninsulas”, described in “I’m Here for the Weather” by Tom Robbins. As executive director, he works to fulfill our mission to teach the health benefits of nature, promote outdoor recreation, and steward the places where we play.
